Frequently Asked Questions

We know you may have questions about auto body repair, the insurance process, or what to expect when you bring your vehicle to our shop. Here are answers to the questions we hear most often. If you do not see your question here, give us a call or visit our contact page.

How long does collision repair take?

Most collision repairs take one to two weeks depending on the extent of the damage and parts availability. Minor repairs like small dents or scratches may be completed in just a few days. We provide a timeline estimate after inspecting your vehicle and keep you updated throughout the process.

Do you work with all insurance companies?

Yes, we work with all major insurance providers. We handle the paperwork, coordinate with adjusters, and communicate directly with your insurance company to make the claims process as smooth as possible.

Do I need an appointment for an estimate?

We welcome walk-ins for estimates during our regular business hours. However, scheduling an appointment ensures we can give you our full attention. You can also request an estimate through our contact page. All estimates are provided at no charge.

What types of vehicles do you repair?

We repair cars and light trucks of all makes and models. Whether you drive a domestic or import vehicle, our team has the skills and equipment to restore it to its pre-accident condition.

Can you match my car's exact paint color?

Yes. We use precision color-matching technology to blend new paint seamlessly with your vehicle's existing finish. The repaired areas will match the rest of your vehicle so the repair is virtually undetectable.

What is paintless dent repair?

Paintless dent repair (PDR) is a technique for removing minor dents and dings without affecting your vehicle's original paint. It is faster and more affordable than traditional body work, and it preserves your factory finish. PDR works best on small dents where the paint has not been cracked or chipped.

Do you offer windshield repair or just replacement?

We offer both windshield repair and full replacement depending on the size and location of the damage. Small chips and cracks can often be repaired, saving you time and money. If the damage is too extensive for repair, we provide full windshield replacement using quality glass.

How do I file an insurance claim for auto body work?

Start by calling your insurance company to report the damage and get a claim number. Then bring your vehicle to our shop. We handle the rest, including providing the estimate, coordinating with your adjuster, and submitting all necessary documentation. Visit our call us at 620-947-3761 for a full walkthrough of the process.

What should I do immediately after a car accident?

First, make sure everyone is safe and call 911 if anyone needs medical attention. Call the police to file a report, exchange information with the other driver, and take photos of all damage and the accident scene. Then contact your insurance company and bring your vehicle to Hillsboro Body Shop for a free estimate.

Do you provide loaner vehicles?

We do not currently provide loaner vehicles. However, many insurance policies include rental car coverage while your vehicle is being repaired. We recommend checking with your insurance provider about rental car benefits under your policy.

How much does collision repair cost?

The cost of collision repair depends on the extent of the damage, the parts needed, and the type of vehicle. We provide free estimates so you know exactly what to expect before any work begins. If you are filing an insurance claim, your out-of-pocket cost is typically limited to your deductible.

What areas do you serve?

We are located in Hillsboro, Kansas and serve the surrounding communities including Marion, Peabody, Newton, McPherson, Hutchinson, Salina, and the greater Marion County area.

What are your hours of operation?

We are open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. We are closed on Sunday.
